At Chicking.YYC, we bring together the flavours of Japanese comfort food with a retro, colourful, and playful Japanese-inspired atmosphere. We want your visit to be more than just a meal — we want it to be a little experience of Japan that makes you smile.

With the Japanese spirit of “Oishiku nare” — “May it be delicious” — we put care and heart into every dish we prepare. It’s our little wish that every bite we serve brings a little happiness to your day.

Our menu celebrates the Japanese comfort foods we love — from warm, satisfying bowls of ramen to freshly made onigiri, sushi, and other Japanese favourites.

Our onigiri are especially close to our hearts. We make them with 100% premium Hokkaido-grown Japanese rice, carefully selected for its natural sweetness, wonderful texture, and delicious flavour. From familiar Japanese classics to our own fun and creative combinations, every onigiri is made to let the quality of the rice shine.

And our love for Japan doesn’t stop at the food.

Inspired by the charm of retro Japan and Japanese kawaii culture, we created a cheerful, colourful and nostalgic space where delicious food and a little bit of fun come together.

You’ll also meet Mr. Chick, our beloved mascot and the playful face of Chicking.YYC. He represents everything we want our restaurant to be — friendly, cheerful, a little quirky, and always ready to make you smile.
